Portuguese movies

We are proud to present our first video! It's called "Poverty". We chose Debussy's "Clair de Lune". We made our movie on powerpoint and then our teacher converted it into wmv.
It's a little bit sad but we hope you like it.
Bruno, Carlos and Cláudio

Movie made by Bruno Sá, Carlos Pinhal and Cláudio Couto. 8th grade students at Escola B/S Domingos Capela, in Espinho, Portugal. 1st portuguese movie made for "Beyond music!" project, an eTwinning project.

Do you want to know our country, Portugal?
We have uploaded a Powerpoint presentation to show you a little bit of our beautiful country with a little help of Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the flowers" from "The Nutcracker" ballet.

Portuguese students in action!

Hi!

We are about to start school. In Portugal the school year will start in September 13th. Teachers will start work on the 1st September.

We haven't finished our project yet because students had exams to do and we were all very tired. It was a "crazy" year with so much to do...

Nevertheless, you can see us working on the slideshow below.

Here you will find our little partners from 5th grade drawing:

Welcome to "Beyond music!" project!

"Beyond music!" is an eTwinning project.

What do we feel, what do we "see" when we hear music? Do we feel the same way whether we're from Portugal, Romenia, Poland or Turkey, for example? This is a project about feelings and creativity.

Partners from Portugal, Romenia, Turkey, France, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Hungary chose 10 classical music masterpieces.

Our aims were to develop creativity, learn how to express feelings, be familiar with classical music, develop ICT skills and respect different ideas.
The results we expected to achieve were:
  • Different "works of art" based on the same music.
  • Different points of view/ideas based on the same music.
  • Different presentations based on the same music.

Hope you like seeing our work as much as we enjoyed doing it!

The next task was to make our students listen to the pieces. Then they were free to express themselves through drawings or paintings, dancing or writing, through powerpoint presentations or in some other ways they wish.

This blog pretends to be a window to the work developed with our students.

Hope you like it!
